NX Publishing is proud to have participated in organizing the 8th International Forum on Animation Technologies (FITA 2006). This event took place in Angoulême, France, from December 13 to 16, 2006. It brought together 262 people: 168 professionals and 94 students. (Reminder 2005: 207 participants, made up of 95 professionals and 112 students).
Conferences, workshops, and master classes based on the theme “Creating emotion in animation”.
Guests of honor: Aardman Animation (Flushed Away) and Buf Compagnie (Arthur et les Minimoys). A huge thanks to all participants – including speakers, participants, locals, and our partners (HP, Autodesk, NVidia,… and of course Magelis! – www.fita-magelis.org).

With over 350 events, fmx/06 yet again offers an abundance of lectures, workshops, demos and screenings centring on Digital Content Creation as well as Media & Entertainment production, management & delivery to the 5000 international visitors registered this year. fmx is growing stronger every year. The 11th International Conference on Animation, Effects, Realtime and Content is known in the Digital Community as the most important European meeting for animation, effects and games. The very extensive programme can be found under www.fmx.de. fmx/06 is an event by the Institute of Animation, Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg. fmx/06 is co-operating with ACM/SIGGRAPH and the French company, NX Publishing. In addition to this, fmx will, for the first time, be co-operating with Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (27.04 -02.05.2006) which will be presenting animated shorts, features and series from all over the world.
